Torch Height Control AR24-2
For good results with oxy-fuel, Plasma or Lasercutting a constant distance of the torch tip to the plate surface is essential. This can easily achieved by using the height control AR24-2, wich allows a continuous adjustment of the torch hight.
Description
The
AR24-2 thc is working with the principle of capacitive height measuring. A
steel ring arranged around the torch forms a variable capacity to the plate. This allows a contactless measuring of the distance
between ring and plate and so linear correction of the torch height.
The sensor input of this THC system is protected against high voltage
discharges, so that the device can be used jointly with plasma torches.
The
measured distance is continuously compared with the internal predefined
set value of the distance. The difference of both controls the internal
switched PID - motor amplifier. This amplifier can drive DC motors up
to 24VDC. The motor current is limited by an internal protection
circuit, of which threshold can be adjusted up to 5.5A.
For the power supply you just need a simple transformer with an output voltage of 24VAC and 150VA.
To configure the parameters of the AR24-2, the setup software (Stock No. 02923), the programming adapter (Stock No. 02924) and a free COM port are required.
